Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Focused training to give you the confidence to respond effectively in life-threatening situations.

  • Quick decision making is required to recognise and assess a cardiac emergency, call for medical assistance and perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures which will increase the chance of survival for a person who is unconscious and not breathing normally. This course equips you with the essential skills and knowledge to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines. Designed for anyone who may need to provide CPR in community or workplace settings, the training builds confidence in responding to emergencies and delivering life-saving care.

  • Blended Program (this course includes online learning and face-to-face training components)

    • Managing unconscious casualties

    • Performing CPR

    • Using an automated external defibrillator (AED)

  • Face-to-Face and Blended-90-120 minutes

  • As part of your training, your skills and knowledge will be assessed through a mix of practical hands-on tasks, simulated emergency scenarios, and a short-written test.

  • $110

  • To take part in this course, you'll need to be physically able to complete the practical activities—this includes performing 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor without stopping.

  • To complete the online/pre-course study, students will need access to a computer, tablet, or smartphone with an internet connection.

  • When you successfully complete this course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for: HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Heart Restart recommends, in line with the First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice and the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, that CPR skills are refreshed every 12 months.
