In a medical emergency, what you do before the ambulance arrives can make all the difference. When it’s your child, every second counts. Our course is created for first responders to take away the panic and replace it with practical, life-saving skills. We provide the reassurance and confidence you need to provide emergency care to a child when they need it most. What you do in those minutes can literally change a life. 

• Course Delivery

  We offer flexible learning options to suit your busy schedule: 

  • Face-to-Face: Hands-on, practical training with experienced first responders. 

  • Online Program: Learn from the comfort of your home with our comprehensive digital modules. 

• Course Details

  • Duration: 3.5 Hours 

  • Investment: $135 

  • Eligibility: Participants must be physically able to deliver 2 minutes of continuous CPR on a manikin. 

  • Certification: Upon successful completion, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance. 

• Life Support

  • Practical Infant and Child CPR, using a Defibrillator (AED), and choking interventions.

• Respiratory Distress

  Identifying "work of breathing" and asthma/croup red flags.

• Fever & Febrile Convulsions

  How to manage high temperatures and what to do during a seizure.

• Sepsis & Serious Rashes

  Recognising the silent killers and non-blanching rashes.

• Allergy & Anaphylaxis

  How to recognise and respond to allergic reactions and manage anaphylaxis (EpiPen use). 

• Choking Management

  How to recognise and respond to a choking infant or child. 

• Managing Illness

  Identifying respiratory distress, sepsis, serious rashes, fever, and febrile convulsions.  

• Managing Injuries

  Understanding the mechanism of injury, bleeding control, head injuries, broken bones, and burns.

• Training Cancellation & Refund Policy

  We understand that life happens, but to keep our classes small and effective, we adhere to the following: 

  • Refund Eligibility: You must notify Heart Restart at least 5 business days before your course begins. 

  • Late Cancellations: Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made less than 5 business days prior to the course start date.
